Speech and language services for non-traditional communicators.

Forget-Me-Not provides thoughtful, individualized speech-language services across the lifespan for people whose communication does not always fit traditional norms.

In American culture, communication is often treated as something that should be fluent, spoken, quick, neurotypical, and monolingual. I use “non-traditional communication” to name the many real, meaningful ways people connect beyond that narrow idea.

All modes of communication are welcome and honored here.

Focus Areas

My work centers non-traditional communication, especially:

  • Stuttering & cluttering

  • Deaf and hard-of-hearing communication

  • Multilingualism & multiculturalism

  • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

  • Neurodivergent communication

  • Emotional & behavioral communication support

Intersectionality matters here. That overlap is often where my work feels most aligned.

Services Offered

Services are available through telehealth, with select in-person availability in Abilene, Texas.

  • Evaluations

  • Individual treatment sessions

  • Patient/caregiver education

  • Communication support consultations

  • AAC implementation support

Aimee Pina, M.S., CCC-SLP

Meet Aimee

I’m Aimee Pina — I’m a multilingual speech-language pathologist (American Sign Language/Spanish/English), Latina, ADHDer, and a person who stutters.

My background includes working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing children, multilingual families, AAC users, students with emotional and behavioral support needs, and people who stutter.

I created Forget-Me-Not because I care about communication in all the ways it shows up — spoken, signed, aided, bilingual, stuttered, scripted, quiet, expressive, direct, and everything in between.
